Life Lately - Garden Updates & tentree

June 5, 2017

Sunflowers happen to be my favorite flowers. Last month, I planted sunflower seeds in the front yard. Unfortunately, the gardener chopped off all of them but one. On top of that, my snapdragons are blooming like crazy. Makes my little plant lady heart happy. I'm still really determined to grow more sunflowers - last week, I planted new ones but in pots this time!

Also, last week, I came across a clothing company called tentree! They're a company similar to TOMS; with every purchase you make, they give you a code for 10 trees to be planted. You can choose to have the trees impact air, land or water. I registered my trees to have an impact on the land and they're due to be planted in Madagascar! :)

Besides that, not much has been going on. Chris and I are headed to San Francisco next week so I have to get through five more days of work before turning on my vacation switch. Until then, have an intreesting week ahead of you!

    1. He may cut it off by accident, but I dunno. A few of my succulents that I planted to the ground ended up getting cut in half too!!! *mad face*

You should! Their shirts are so cool :D

  12. I am loving the progress of your flowers so far! Can't wait to see how everything turns out. I am still waiting for my daisies to grow a bit bigger before rolling them out xD. I can't believe the gardener would just chop off your sunflowers like that. Hope it was an accident and won't happen again :I.

  16. This made me miss my project organic. Last year, I bought several vegetable seeds. The eggplants are still alive. However, the soil quality in the village is not as good as I expected :( Anyways, I want to start another project and I'm planning to plant the sunflower seeds my sister gave to me.

  18. Awe I love sunflowers, they're so cheerful, it's too bad almost all of them got cut down. It's so cool that Tentree will plant a tree and also give you options and information about it. I know when Toms or Warby Parker does it they don't really tell you where the stuff is going.

  19. I'm here via Nancy XD

That's nice you're growing some beautiful plants. A shame the gardener cut your sunflowers, but it's good you re-planted them in your pots. Persistence is the key :D

TenTree sounds like a good company. I like their objectives. I'll look into them.

Have fun in San Fran!~ I hope to visit there one day.

  23. I like sunflowers too and I would love to have one. Too bad I don't have a place where I can put them. It's sad that the gardener removed the sunflowers!

I haven't seen any store like Tentree but it's nice that you have one there.

    I hope you'll have a great week!
